The last few posts have been about the electronics, but this is probably the hardest part in building a digital Qube. The next electronic milestone is finally here, we have the main controller board kitted out!
<- This is the power side of the board, and the image up top is the CPU side. You can see that the little light is blinking. That means the CPU is powered and running the “Hello World” of the electronics world, blinking an LED.
Next up is testing this with one of the displays. See the contacts around the edges, 4 of the screen backpack boards are going to soldered directly to those at a right angle. This should allow this whole unit to slide right into the laser cut case and have a snug fit.
